Portage River Readers

The Portage River Readers is a book discussion group that meets at the Pemberville Library. Meetings are held at 7:30 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month except August. Discussion books are available for checkout at the library approximately a month before the discussion is held. Open to teens and adults.

Cookbook Club

If you love to cook and want a fun, casual environment to try and share new recipes, the Cookbook Club is just for you! You’ll take home a new cookbook every month and try out recipes. Then bring your favorite dish to share with the group and discuss techniques. This book club rotates meeting locations between our three libraries each month and meets on the first Thursday at 6:30 pm. Open to cooks ages 14 and more experienced!

Next Chapter Book Club

The Next Chapter Book Club is for teens (ages 16 and up) and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Each week the club meets to read, laugh, and have fun together. A member does not have to be able to read in order to enjoy attending NCBC, rather the focus is on having a good time with others. The NCBC will meet at 4:45 P.M. on Thursdays in the Pemberville Public Library with occasional outings in the community. Anyone interested in joining the club or becoming a volunteer facilitator should contact: Cherie Runnels at 419-287-4012 or at crunnels@seolibraries.org
